Here is an update. Everything is going well!
- We have worked a deal with a local organic fruit grower who is supplying our beloved hilltop scholars with fresh bananas, kiwis, apples, and more!
- We have recently completed our "Day of Service" through the Tour of Tacoma, where 13 of our Hilltop Scholars went to St. Joe's Hospitality Kitchen, The Nativity House, and heard a presentation on cleaning up their neighborhood.
- Our times are back on schedule for the program. We start at 3:00, have a break at 4:15, and clean up begins at 5:15. The feeding program was another successful one, and our students helped serve as well as helped eat some of the delicious food.
- Ms. Ruiz's Acheivement Gap presentation is continuing. Students from CLASS are coming every Friday to work on mini-presentations which will be shown to members of our community.
More updates will come later. It is amazing how much news we can report after not doing it for months and months!
