Obamarama!

We recently took a trip to Seattle to watcha a play entitled "Obama on my Mind". The play was outrageously funny and entertaining. The play took place during the 2008 presidential election and characterized the lives of individuals pledged to campaign for Baracka Obama. I laughed, I danced a little, and had a wonderful time engaging with the characters in the play. It was very interesting and insightful to understand the motivations for each character. Everyone had a particular investment in the presidential candidate Mr. Obama: economical, spiritual, politically. . . How do the actions of other affect the rest of us? And to what extent? How can one man's aspirations cause such a loud ruckus and upheavel for so many individuals? Does this show how suceptible the American people really are to politics? Or does it show the vehement actions and emotions towards the necesity of change in America?
