I had the students write their long-term goals and what they need to do to reach those goals, such as go to college, go to grad school, start my career, work my way up to position I want, etc. Then I had them think about what they needed to do right now to reach the first part of their long term goal, graduate high school and go to college. Again Shanice was priceless. She said, “I need to be the best Shanice I can be! I need to reach my Shaniceness!”
